Research

After some correspondence with my client, I decided to start my research by analyzing existing logos. I consolidated bi-colored logos that I would use as inspiration.

A wing-spread phoenix was a popular theme in branding, along with an orange and red color as highlights its unique association with the sun.

I began by applying different blue’s and red’s per my clients fire and ice colorway request.
Popular air conditioning contractors:
After trying variations of red and blue, I felt that the combination was too closely associated with air conditioning. This would lead to confusion and convey the wrong message without further context.
